Summary
Richard Burton and Ralph Richardson join together in this unqiue musical production of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner". The superb delivery of both these actors is augmented by an original soundtrack composed by David Moore.

Terrible.
People who are interested in Coleridge probably don't want it accompanied by a loud and incessant drum machine. All the way through. Unlistenable.

Different but very good.
Would you consider the audio edition of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner to be better than the print version?
As other reviews have stated, most of this reading is set to a complimentary soundtrack. Personally, I think it adds some atmosphere and additional depth to an already great reading. It's probably quite divisive but for me it's the best version I've heard of this classic poem.
