Overall this was a nice conclusion to the Cantos. The story rounded off in a way that was suited. I can't say that I agreed with all of the decisions that Dan Simmons made but I can see why they were made.
Some aspects of the story I wish could have been developed further in the place of some romances but overall a good performance saves what is probably the weakest of the series.
None of the rest of the series was a match for Hyperion but a compulsion to finish had not left me dissatisfied.

Not the best in the series... still good

Wow, what an adventure. possibly some of the best world building I've ever listened to on an Audiobook. Kudos also to Victor Bevine for bringing this incredible journey and it's characters to life.

Hyperion Cantos

Good if a little 'neat' ending to the series. Felt like a bit of a Hollywood ending, which slightly jarred against the series as a whole which had always felt very mature. Still good though..

Good but..

end of an epic Saga that ranks amongst the very best sci-fi ever produced. highly recommended

very well performed. story is fascinating.

It's an epic 4 book story and each book is long. An outstanding work in all, but could have been made better with slightly more aggressive editing especially around the interminable action and fight scenes. Still, worth listening to for any fan of fantasy sci fi.

Good but long

Good book. Not as good as the first in the series but still a fine read. The narrator lends real added value.
