Summary

Book 4 of The End Times

In the tunnels of Karak Eight Peaks, the final battle begins. Dwarf, goblin and skaven clash as the world burns around them. And in Karaz-a-karak, the dwarf high king faces the end of his empire…

Listen to it because

Another long-running storyline comes to its end as the eternal war for Karak Eight Peaks is finally lost… Guy Haley will bring tears to your eyes as several fan-favourite Warhammer characters meet their demise.

The story

The End Times are coming. In the warrens of Skavenblight, a new power is rising. The verminlords walk the earth and they plan to lead the skaven to their destiny as rulers of the world. But for Queek Headtaker, the only destiny that matters is his own, as he plans his final assault on Karak Eight Peaks. In the depths of that ancient city, two rival kings - the goblin Skarsnik and the dwarf Belegar - prepare to meet the onslaught. And in Karaz-a-Karak, High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer presides over what he knows, in his heart, is the end of the dwarf empire. The Horned Rat rises and nothing will ever be the same…

A good book and a fantastic narrator

Andrew james Spooner truely knocking it out of the park with the narration across the series and this is no different

Fantastic voice acting!

The jumps in the timeline are not always easy to follow, but the overall story was good and the voice acting really sold it for me!

Really rather enjoyable

I struggle with Black Libraries stuff, just because there seems to be an inhouse writing style of over writing everything, not really bothering with narrative structure, and falling into the trap of having endless chapters which are simply conversations with no action. But THIS one was really rather good, being both genuinly funny at some points and genuinly moving at others, which is a first for BL. Very good. The narrator really throws themselves into it too.

Brilliant.

Brilliantly narrated by AJ Spooner. really enjoyed it story. Although GW should really consider carrying WH fantasy saga on this is the ultimate story line not any of that Age of Sigmar rubbish..The old world concept is infinite and eternal. Story lines are better and more relatable..

Narration is on par!

Great and sad as to be expected with the end times and genuinely some moments where you know what's coming but still can't believe it is taking place. Narration is amazing and really made me enjoy the Skaven like never before!

Fantastic Reading

Can honestly say that the voices of each character were performed perfectly. The story itself is spotty in parts but overall an enjoyable listen!

Amazing

As soon as I see a book in the series comes out instantly buy it no matter what time of the month it is. Captivating storyline if you are interested in Warhammer fantasy universe and Andrew James Spooner, the narrator absolutely brings it to life.
