Very useful life tips

The book was packed with useful information. Some information I knew and some I didn't. It has encouraged me to start jogging again and made me think about other health info I hadn't considered. Very useful to have the pdf too.

An Excellent Book

This book is full of science backed information about how one can enjoy getting older. It highlights, by paying attention to one's health, through exercise, diet and mindset that growing older, our latter years can be fun - and they should be. Jane has explained how we can get so much more out of life with a bit more attention to detail and taking responsibility for our own health.

Inspiring read on how to enjoy a healthful life

Inspiring read with lots of evidence based practical advice on how to age well and most importantly enjoy life to the fullest whilst aging.
The book challenges the common perception that we have to slow down and are less able to do things as we age. It doesn’t matter what your starting point is in terms of health, age or lifestyle, there are positive changes to make.
Whilst the book covers the obvious things such as diet, smoking and activity/exercise it also talked less talked about - but no less important - subjects such as constipation, dental health, a sense of purpose and community.
Well worth a listen or read - there is an accompanying PDF of the book.

Compelling read and a cracking blueprint for healthy eating and ageing

I'm now 50 and in good health - but I know I could/should eat better than I do and I'd love to have more energy.

Also I'm keen to eat and live in a way that wards off future illness - both my parents had dementia and the thought of going down that road really does scare me.

This book promised to help with these challenges and it absolutely did so. The opening statistics painted a worrying picture but the methods and approaches suggested are a) well researched b) fairly easily implementable and c) seem very sensible

I'm already feeling the benefit from 'eating the rainbow' and making sure I have 30 different plant based foods a week - tasty and actually a lot of fun when shopping! - to improve my microbiome.

I'm also going to start weight training in the gym. I already attend classes but recognise this will help too.

Jane is in her 70s and an absolute inspiration, don't miss reading this book!

An excellent reference book

There's a huge amount of information that comes at you thick and fast. I found I was frequently pausing and sometimes rewinding so I could reflect on what I'd heard. The frequent scientific citations interrupted the flow on some occasions. Usefully the book is divided into several chapters, many are less than 15 minutes. Each chapter is self contained making it easy to jump to the area of most interest. This is a useful resource for practioners and I'll be using it to help my clients as well as myself.
