Summary
When Isobel Petty is orphaned, she finds herself being taken away from her home in India and sent to live with a distant uncle in England. Brilliant story beautifully read
Absolutely loving this story . The characterisation is delightful and the story, utterly compelling. Most importantly for me, this book conjures up how it is to be a child looking at the world through a child's eyes- which so few books really honestly do.
I want to be one of the Secret Detectives and I want to be on this mail ship with these children as my friends and I do not want to have nearly finished the book. Well, Ella Risbridger, I hope you are already penning the sequel!
Loved the reading too, which brought this magnificent story to life so beautifully.

Up there with the Murder Most Unladylike Books
A wonderfully narrated story. I was hooked throughout. Kept you guessing till the very end .
