Summary
Amanda Wilkie unexpectedly finds herself alone with her three children in a rambling Victorian house in London. Her husband leaves them, claiming he's just 'lost the love', like one might carelessly lose a glove. A few months later, Amanda's heavily pregnant friend, Ali, crashes into her kitchen announcing her husband is also leaving. So, after Ali's baby, Grace, is born, they both move into Amanda's attic. And when Jacqui, a long-lost friend and fellow single mum, starts dropping by daily, the household is complete.
Getting divorced is no walk in the park, but the three friends refuse to be defined by it. And as they slowly emerge out of the wreckage like a trio of sequin-clad Gloria Gaynors singing 'I Will Survive', they realise that anything is possible. Even loving again...

Bad boos. Worse audiobook.
Uninteresting storyline. Terrible narrative voice - sounded monotone about the whole thing, bad accents, bad impersonations of children, kept getting the inflexions and emphasis all wrong. Would be funny if it wasn't so distracting.

Unrealistic
unrealistic children's views of understanding, copious amounts of friends that all seem to be drunk yet there and unedited amounts of time this Single mum sleeps and self woes with time to think from beginning middle and end with children. And the narrator had a terrible voice for even attempting deep tones of the male characters...she made the seem like overstupid warbles. This is a bit insulting to single mothers who actually try.

Erm!!! Didn't finish is so... I don't know!!
Not as good as I thought it was going to be when I first started listening.. The story was good but it deteriorated somewhere along the way.. Very silly, superficial and not convincing. Don't waste your precious credit. Keep searching..

boring
The narrator is awful and the story is incredibly slow so I have given up. The story has no originality to it as far as I managed to get, the narrator is very earnest in the way she reads the story. this is a return.

Really enjoyable, easy listening
I really enjoyed listening to this. The author is a very brave lady divulging her innermost thoughts, hopes and fears. I've not gone through divorce and hope I never will but I could still relate to lots of bits of the book and I hope it will give me more compassion to those around me dealing with divorce. Now I'm intrigued to try reiki.
