I have no problem with this series continuing on into old age for Jo & Isla! Full of wonderful characters, it’s a gripping story, beautifully narrated. More, more.

This is another fantastic captivating storyline. I was hooked from the beginning, it's just WOW!
I'm not a fan of crime stories, but C Hunter is an exception, her writing is brilliant and implores one to delve into the dark side of crime and taste the fear inside! 😱

cari hunter book and NNV narration sublime as always , throw in a fabulous written story with D I Jo and x plus the team of regular characters plus new baddies intricately woven into the plot and then at the end ooh cari hunter the next one had better be out soon.

was hooked from start to finish, as with every story Cari Hunter produces. She brings her characters to life and manages to create a gritty, hard hitting crime thriller inter laced with an emotional and touching love story and loyalty, friendship, sweets and humour all fantastically narrated by Nicola Vincent, the dream team strikes again!

I would love to meet Nicola Victoria Vincent, Cari writes a fantastic story but Nicola brings the stories to life.

We finally get to meet Jo and Isla in the second book. Jo has returned to work and was on desk duty but had to answer a call which had started a case with Tully with a dead body which slowly snow balled.

Not only is this a serious subject, you have humour and plenty of tea and bickys.
