Summary
Jonas Durand is successful, rich, and controlled. He owns a prestigious modelling agency and has the world at his fingertips, but a turbulent childhood has taught him to be focused and never deviate from a plan.
Dean Jacobs threatens that stance. He’s one of the world’s most sought-after supermodels, but he’s also laidback, lighthearted, and free in a way that Jonas has never quite managed.
Dean has always been interested in Jonas, and has never made any secret of his admiration, but from the beginning, Jonas put him in a neat little box labelled, “Don’t touch,” turned the key, and never looked back.
However, the universe seems determined to thwart Jonas’s plans. Over the course of one hot summer, the two men come together, and Jonas’s well-ordered life becomes something a whole lot wilder.
Moving from the glamorous worlds of London and Paris Fashion Weeks to the sleepy South of France, Jonas finds himself liberating partridges, chasing his supermodel, and falling in love.
From best-selling author Lily Morton comes a romantic comedy set in the fast-paced and snarky world of modelling. This is the first book in the Model Agency series.

Joel Leslie did an amazing job bringing the characters to life.
This is a great grumpy/sunshine story. It’s sweet, charming and funny in all the right places. I really enjoyed it.

Very funny indeed with one or two sad moments but it should have you giggling and there is plenty of hot gay sex enjoy.

An amazing grumpy-meets-sunshine romance
Lily Morton is a magician with words, and once again she's delivered an outstanding grumpy-meets-sunshine romance. Dean and Jonas didn't seem like two people who would be compatible at all when I first met them, but over time they won me over with their unique love language. Dean was the definition of laid back, always ready with a kind word and smile for anyone who crossed his path. Jonas, on the other hand, couldn't have been more of a buttoned up business man, and his need to keep things in order came across almost cold until I got to know him better. Their attraction to each other was barely hidden at the start, but it took several rounds of coworker meddling, long drives together, and meaningful conversations for the walls between them to start to drop. Jonas had a very strict sense of morals, and that caused him to label Dean as off-limits for a long time, but little by little I saw their attraction morph into deeper feelings. I always get all swoony when the stern one gets all protective over their sunshine lover, and that's absolutely how Jonas reacted when anyone had an unkind thing to say to Dean. That's how I knew they had a special connection from the start, and it was incredible to watch it grow over time. The more I learned about Dean, the more I realized that he was so much more than a pretty face, and some of the reveals about his past were really heartbreaking. Every time he casually accepted someone's belittling of him my heart broke a little more, and I was fiercely satisfied to see how adament Jonas was to show him how smart and amazing he truly was. In turn, Dean showed Jonas that it's okay to loosen up and be messy at times, and it was wonderful to see the difference that made in his overall happiness. Even if the two of them hadn't won me over with their romance, the way Dean interacted with Ruby, Jonas's daughter, would have sealed the deal. I've always believed that the right partner brings out the best in you, and seeing how Dean's presence changed Jonas's relationship with his daughter for the better brought it all home for me. Everything felt so good and warm and right between Dean and Jonas, but as all good stories remind me, there's always a make-or-break moment. Thankfully Lily Morton didn't leave me swimming in angst for too long, and I got to see the two of them ride off into the sunset together with Ruby, a pile of dogs, and lasting love.

Another ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I never hesitate to use my credits on lily's books, and I'm slowly working my way through her entire collection, and this one has gone right up to the top with Oz as my one of my favourites, beautiful Dean and his his Grumpy crush were a story I wasn't prepared for, such tricky subjects once again amazingly written and tackled appropriately, love her writing love her style love her snagk and love her characters and as always Joel reads them all to perfection...

Fantastic book!!
This was such a feel good and sweet romance. I had the best time reading it.
Dean was the kindest most wonderful person. Full of joy and love, pure sunshine. I loved his character.
Jonas was wonderful too and I loved how he took care of Dean and defended him. There was a part that his actions upset me but I could understand where he was coming from and he made it better in the end so I forgive him.
And Ruby, Jona's daughter, was the cutest!
I loved reading Deam and Jonas' journey to their happily ever after!
The narrator was brilliant and brought the story and the characters to life beautifully.

Brilliant
This was brilliant.
I don't really remember Dean from either Mal or Jude/Asa's book. I get the impression that he was a doped up airhead. This is Dean off the weed. He's dyslexic, quick to put himself down because of it, but he has a sunny disposition and a head for numbers.
Jonas is a conundrum. He's strict and his life designed to keep anyone he could love (except his brother) at arm's length. But he's also ridiculously kind and hates any kind of oppression or mistreatment. Events (and Dean's persistence) deign to throw them together and the more time Jonas spends with Dean the more flexible his rules become.
The story is delightful, the narration a performance that enhanced the tale. I loved, I laughed, I sobbed.
I need to see if Pip or Jonas' brother have their own books because those boys need decent men.
Highly recommended.

OMG, I love Jonas & Dean
I should also say I love Jonas’s daughter. Oh, and the dogs. Henry specifically but, like, yeah, dogs. Oh, and partridges. Can’t forget the partridges.
Let me go back a step.
Jonas has an orderly life. Even though he runs a fashion modelling agency and has to deal with, you know, models, he does okay. He fights injustices, rescues his people, and generally is holding things together. He’s also got a young daughter and an ex-wife. So life’s pretty full.
Dean is a model who’s been attracted to Jonas from the beginning of his arrival at the agency. But the time never seemed right. Then the fates collide (okay, Dean’s brawling naked in a hotel and gets arrested and Jonas has to bail him out) and things just sort of…click.
I love Lily Morton books for their humor, but there’s also a depth to her characters. They aren’t perfect people. Dean has a problem he’s spent his life trying to compensate for. Jonas won’t win an award for father of the year. Together, though, they just click.
Joel Leslie always does a brilliant job narrating Lily’s stories and this book was no exception. There are more to come and waiting for Lily’s trademark snark is always painful, but always worth it in the end. Can’t wait for the next one.

Loved it
Joel Leslie is always excellent and he brought this story to life. As always with Lliy Morton you have likeable, smart characters, a great storyline and clever, funny dialogue. I just wish it had gone on for longer.
