Summary

A perfect bridging story between books 1 and 2
Crisp and compact, this short story has all the action and romance of the rest of the series, even while it explores secondary characters from Book 1 in greater depth. Excellent narration as ever. This is well worth the listen, and a must if you've already listened to The Traveler.

amazing book
this book is amazing could not spot listening to it well written by Melissa Delport and brought to life by Leah Sponburgh

The Survivor
I would recommend reading or listening to The Traveler first before you get to this one. It gives you a better understanding of what is going on. I listened to this one before the book one and I found it confusing at times.
This was a quick listen and different since it was told from the secondary characters pov.

A fabulous treat for fans of the series
This short story is a fabulous treat for anyone who felt like me a little bereft at the end of The Traveler and desperately wanted to learn more about the unique world and the colourful characters Melissa Delport has created for this series.
The narration by Leah Sponburgh was spot on and I can’t wait for the second volume, The Saviour, to come out on audio - great fun!

Brilliant continuation of the story
I have listened to book one of this series, and this one follows on very nicely from that. It is a nice short story, which adds a lot to the series and I really enjoyed it

Ooh, she's done it again!
The Traveler left us begging for more, so it was with the glee of a child on Christmas morning that I started The Survivor. Once again narrated by the excellent Leah Sponburgh, it was very interesting to hear about the war from a different point of view. We had met Darren in The Traveler and his account of their time together since the departure of Rachel and Dex was action packed and full of emotion. And yet, once again, Ms Delport has left me grinding my teeth in my desperation to know more. It's quite remarkable how so much intrigue was packed into an hour of audio book, yet from the first word to the last my attention was captured and I was fully invested in the characters, new and old. Bravo Ms Delport, but I can't wait much longer for the next instalment so please can you sort it, like now? If I promise I'll be good? Please?

The Survivor
A perfect bridge book between the first book and hopefully the second. This book follows some of the secondary characters from the first book and what happens when most of the invaders return home. I loved they way this series is turning out.

Great second book!
I definitely enjoyed listening to this book. However a little short but still fantastic.
The narrator does a good job with the characters and voices making it easy to distinguish between the characters.
