About this listen
Some things are better left alone
Dane Jones works from home with only his three dogs for company. When he stumbles onto a social media page about urban exploring, he’s curious about different sites around Sacramento that seem like they’d be interesting to investigate. He starts chatting with Griff Warren, and after a few conversations he’s even more excited to go.
Griff Warren is also curious about urban exploring, but he has very little interest in experiencing something paranormal. When the guy he’s been chatting with in the online group is so enthusiastic to go, it’s contagious. They plan to go to a warehouse and while there, experience something they can’t explain.
Dane and Griff were looking for an adventure, but they find more than they bargained for at a deserted farmhouse on the river. When Dane finds an old toy discarded in one of the rooms, both of them are thrown into a world neither understands. Full of cursed objects, strange markings, and powers, neither knows how to handle. Lucky for them, Griff’s Friend knows exactly who can help.

Great start to a new series
Dane and Griff meet and there's great chemistry between them.
Unfortunately for them they decide to meet by doing some urban exploring and find themselves immersed in a supernatural world they have no experience navigating.
They'll have to learn quickly on the fly if they dare to stand a chance of surviving.
Great world building, fast paced action, adventure and danger kept me thoroughly engaged.
The narrator did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.

New series by BL Maxwell.
Luckily for me, this story was more creepy than exactly scary(which was good for me because I really had tough moments listening to some of the Valley Ghosts parts…), but still fast-paces and intriguing enough to keep me on my toes! For all lovers of paranormal, unexplainable things, this book is for you. Also, the romance part and the supernatural part are very well balanced and one does not detract from or overwhelms the other.
Great job, as usual, by Allen Jeffries.

Wow
This was unputdownable, the story flows so well and the spookiness of the story was so well done. This is one of those books that you start listening to and become obsessed so quickly. The chemistry between the main characters was well written and each character was unique and deep enough that they felt real. Well worth reading.
