About this listen
The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Other Stories is a fun, colourful collection of traditional tales that's a must for younger listeners. From the curiosity of Goldilocks to the resourcefulness of the Three Little Pigs, these stories have been told for generations and are perfect for any young child's audio library.
The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Take three hungry goats and one even hungrier troll, throw in a rickety bridge and a field where the grass is always greener and you have the all the elements for one of the most popular children’s stories. But these hungry goats know that there’s only one obstacle between them and the lush green grass just over the bridge in the neighbouring field – a grumpy troll who’s prone to gobbling up passersby! So how will the goats get to the other side of the river? Find out in Alan Smith’s re-telling of this traditional story, which comes complete with the troll’s unfortunate wind problem.
Little Red Riding Hood (and the Gooseberry Pie)
If ever there was a reason not to dally on your way to Grandma’s house, this is it! The classic tale of the little girl in the red cape who’s trying to cheer up her Grandma is brought to life by Alan Smith. Complete with some of the best-known lines in storytelling, we’ll find out why Little Red Riding Hood remarks "Grandma - what big eyes you have" (and other personal observations) in Eileen Smith's adaptation of the story, which ends happily, with a half-eaten gooseberry pie!
Goldilocks and the Three Bears
When curiosity gets the better of her, Goldilocks ventures into the forest. And that was her first mistake! Not only does she get hopelessly lost, but she has an encounter with three bears that makes her think twice about straying from home again. Alan Smith is the reader of this adaptation of a tale which can be traced back to Robert Southey.
Also includes "The Three Little Pigs".

Nostalgia
What a delight it is to find a true rendition of our favourite classic tales. The Three Billy Goats Gruff is read with a humour that will appeal to any child. It was lovely to see the delight on my friends young sons face when he heard the \"sound effects\" in the story. He was kept enthralled throughout and cant wait to hear more.
I would definitely recommend these to anyone that wants to entertain a child possibly use them as a treat on a journey. The sound quality is exceptional and the story well read. I will definitely be purchasing the set and only hope they quickly release new material.
