About this listen
This squad of Vietnam soldiers would die for one another - but one anti-war, enemy-sympathizing draftee might turn this mission deadly....
The year is 1969. Private Andy Carter serves in Quang Ngai Province with his brothers in arms. While any one of them would die for each other, a vocal draftee in their squad constantly stirs up trouble. Ramsey, a former anti-war protestor and enemy sympathizer, believes they’re on the wrong side of the war.
His stance angers his fellow soldiers and leaves them wary of him.
When a routine recon mission uncovers an enemy tunnel, Carter suspects there’s more than meets the eye. Teamed up with a brave, loyal German Shepard soldier named Alice, they must risk their lives to save countless more. This mission will test the squad, but most of all, it’ll leave Carter questioning the value of a soldier’s life and the madness of war.
From war veteran turned author Glyn Haynie, The Tunnel is an authentically crafted novella, a fictional account of a run-of-the-mill mission ordered for a squad of soldiers in the Vietnam War. But this mission leaves one of the soldiers with more questions than answers about loyalty and courage.
