About this listen
In Washington, a US senator receives photographs of the corpses. And realises that his past has come back to haunt him.
Nick Wright is the detective trying to solve the mystery of the double killing. His hunt for a motive takes him to the tunnels in Vietnam, where the American tunnel rats fought the dirtiest battle of the war against the Viet Cong. But there is a killer protecting the secrets of the tunnels. At whatever cost...

another great leather novel
I've read all but 2 of Stephen Leathers novels and, there isn't a bad book amongst them. as usual this book is full of great action with a gripping plot. One of Leathers strong points is his ability to draw multiple plot lines together to produce great books.

I am an ardent audible customer, but after a few wishy washy other novels I always resort back to Stephen Leather and more importantly my Paul Thornley fix! Good story with amazing narration!

Excellent. You won't be dissapointed
Advisable to read The Vets first. Vets isn't a particularly engrossing story by Leathers usual standards, but there are aspects of that story that make this one awe inspiring. I would suggest that this story was planned when The Vets was being written.
Engaging and absorbing story, full of the usual subplots and fallible people. Just like life!
Having researched the VC tunnels in Cu Chi, and appreciated their extraordinary contribution to the North Vietnamese success against both the French & Americans, this story resonates with the incredible tension that is endured by conflict underground and in the dark. The real Tunnel Rats were an extraordinary breed, but ultimately no match for Vietnamese forbearance and persistence.
You won't be disappointed by this story. Even though I can now see Stephens Leathers plot twists unfolding in advance, it was still engrossing.
