I usually hate to leave mediocre reviews, but this is a long book so if you want to avoid an extremely predictable listen, this isn’t for you. The revelations as they happened were a little eye-rolling and a bit immature / innocent, especially as you know exactly what’s coming. I did appreciate the setting and ambience however and the narration was quite good.

Thinly disguised lift of Daphne du Maurier’s ‘ Rebecca’ with it’s own Mrs Danvers, portrait on the stairs, taciturn older man etc. Gave up half way through. Not very well written and very predictable.
