In The Undiscovered Self Jung explains the essence of his teaching for an audience unfamiliar with his ideas. He highlights the importance of individual responsibility and freedom in the context of today's mass society and argues that individuals must organise themselves as effectively as the organized mass if they are to resist joining it.
To help them achieve this he sets out his influential programme for achieving self-understanding and self-realisation. The Undiscovered Self is a book that will awaken many individuals to the new life of the self that Jung visualised. Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961) founded the analytical school of psychology and developed a radical new theory of the unconscious.

interesting and thought-provoking.
Jung has a deep and really interesting view of the psychological world that are becoming more and more proven right in our days. my own insights on conciousness/God and the original sin is that we are fragments of God's conciousness and that when we formed our own independence from God by identifying with the thinking mind. this is the original sin (the father of lies, Lucifer) the mind, that tries to stay independent from God by lying to itself, saying that it's not of God when God is the only thing allowing its existence. Conciousness sees me therefore I am.

fascinating

Exceeded every expectations I had!
First book I have listened to by Carl Jung, and I loved it--so much that I am considering buying the book (not only for myself, but also as a gift for others I know).
One of the most surprising things to me was that it sounded like it was written just recently, rather than many decades ago. Truly timeless! :)

pompous and egotistical
I am so disappointed in Carl Jung, the vocabulary he uses in this book is far too complicated for many of the people that would need his help. I am deeply disappointed in this man. He is arrogant.
