The story of a hit an that finds love and wants to retire for his love is a good one and overall the story is well written and enjoyable. Sadly, the audio version is horrible. It is as if they recorded a complete unabridged version and then just chopped out huge sections to make an arbitrary time limit. The jumps in continuity are jarring and upsetting. The recording artist does a good job and the overall audiobook is fine but with the poor editing it is hard to recommend this release.

This review is clouded by the fact that the download skipped lots of sections. This is the third and possibly last book by David Baldacci that I will buy. I realise finding new story plots and twists must be hard, but I am surprised some of this did not get picked up by the editor.

I usually read this genre, am an avid fan of Lee Child, but as I have read/Listened to all, I thought I would give "The Whole Truth" a go.
Well read by Alex Jennings and a well crafted tale from the off.
Very modern in its inferences and very fast paced.
I think the abridged version gave enough of the back ground to embellish the story, which was believable most of the time!

This is a very good story, typical of DB. Well researched and put together. Characters as always very strong. But the abridgement made it disjointed, with massive obvious gaps.

Poor editing makes this abridged version "jump" enough to make me keep checking my device! great gaps in the dialogue spoils the story completely.

Unfortunately the only version of this is abridged on audiobooks. I do not understand the reason for this. In chapter three there are unfinished sentences. There are unlinked plot jumps which make for confusing and unpleasant listening, especially in chapter 5. Unprofessional and a waste of money.
