Summary
Welcome to the Enchanting Island of Summerhaven, Maine.
Nestled off the coast of Maine, this charming little island has everything you'd expect of a small town. There's an old-fashioned soda fountain, a quaint village green, miles of beautiful beaches...and an ancient coven of witches hidden in plain sight on the shores of Pinecroft Cove. When down-on-her-luck Tamsyn moves to the island in search of a fresh start, mysteries abound at her family's bed and breakfast on Pinecroft Cove. Will her newly discovered magical powers be any match for murder?
Spirits, Pies, and Alibis: She's a kitchen witch who can't cook and there's a dead guy haunting her dreams. When Tamsyn's life starts to feel like a big hex, moving to her aunt's B&B on a Maine island could work like a charm - or be her worst choice yet. With the help of her coven and the dreamy local doctor who leaves her tongue-tied, can Tamsyn’s life ever be normal again?
Covens, Cakes, and Big Mistakes: On Tamsyn’s first solo gig managing Pinecroft Inn’s kitchen, a famous author dies after eating the lemon cake she’d baked for afternoon tea. Distracted by the newly arrived spirit of a long-departed feisty flapper, is it any wonder Tamsyn made a few mistakes? But as all eyes are on her for the murder, Tamsyn and her coven will need to cook up a spell to reveal what really happened before a killer can strike again.
Magic, Lead, and Gingerbread: When the judge of a TV cooking competition is murdered while filming a Christmas special at the Pinecroft Inn, Aunt Gwen becomes the prime suspect. Meanwhile, a trip to the Roaring Twenties reveals new hints about how Lillian died, and Tamsyn’s perseverance might pay off when a century-old clue leads to a breakthrough in the present-day case that could clear her aunt’s name and reveal the real killer.

Started well but…
Narrator OTT at times, female lead irritatingly slow and jumps to conclusions too quickly; couldn’t wait for book 3 to finish in the end - same old, same old.

Light hearted and fun
A good light hearted listen, a little too easy to work out the killers in some stories but still enjoyable :)

Oh sooo 💤 boring,
This is the worst book I've listened too, I've lost chapters & restarted only to lose interest again, you could listen to first & last chapter w/o missing a beat, sorry.
I don't think the narrator helped much as she didn't change voices per characters, so you never knew whom was talking, very monotone!
A previous listeners review warned about this book but didn't think it'd be worse than others, but I was wrong, this is defo the worst, did NOT hold my attention at all, so many restarts to end up switching off again, will NOT buy any more from this series, in fact it was so bad I'd like a refund to buy a book I do like!
