About this listen
She’s fated to love him, but how can she open her heart knowing what she is?
Leigh is a killer. Her family are light witches, tasked with defeating the Somes family of shadow witches, who sow chaos and evil wherever they go. And Leigh is especially talented at protecting the innocent, but every kill takes a toll on her psyche.
When she returns to her hometown after a ten-year absence to help her sister defeat a shadow witch, she doesn’t expect to get a soulmate (complete with telepathic soulmate call) into the bargain.
Bryce is shy, but he’s smitten with Leigh the moment he meets her in her family’s bar. Her standoffish attitude only makes him more curious. He’s sure that with time he can chip away at the armor around her heart.
Leigh may try to push him away, but destiny pushes them together. When the Somes family are stripped of their powers, they aren’t all gone. They vow revenge, and Bryce is among their primary targets. Forcing Leigh to follow Bryce to his own hometown and his own painful past.
Now Leigh is stuck to Bryce if she wants to protect him. But getting close is dangerous. Leigh’s spent years cutting herself off from others. And from herself. The last thing she needs is a soulmate she can never deserve.
And even if she lets him in, can she protect him from the Somes witches trying to ruin their lives? Listen to this paranormal romance to find out if love is stronger than pain… or evil.

Great continuation to the series.
Enjoyed this one. love that its told from Leigh's POV, giving each of the characters perspectives. And love Bryce.
Good to see the story continue but also find out more of the back story.
Really enjoying this spicy, witchy romance.
Again the narration is spot on. Straight on to book three now.

Amazing story.
An amazing story with awesome characters (and Thor!) and an entertaining plot. Amanda Fichter, the narrator, has a beautiful voice, but, as she doesn’t give the characters their own voices, it was sometimes confusing who was speaking.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

A pnr world continues to build.
This second book in the Wardwell series builds on the first giving further insights into this interesting world of witches of light and dark and their journey towards finding their soul mates and battling evil. This is Leigh and Bryce's story. With the story told from different points of view, we are privy to hearts and minds otherwise inaccessible. This definitely adds to the overall fun and interest. Amanda Fitcher again narrates and while an expressive narrator, I found that that the lack if definition between characters and genders occasionally caused me to need to regroup.
There are some very funny scenes, part after the brownie incident, and Bryce's reactions to various situations show just what a lively and humorous nan he is. A great match for Leigh. We are left with an incredibly intense scene which is both shocking and intriguing! Great stuff. 💖💖💖💖
