Could have been speaking about today's issues.

Very well written and narrated. Shows how slow social progress has been since before emancipation. It is a sad but accurate account.

So inspiring and empowering. I feel informed

This book has been an eye opener for me. I understand Civil Rights better now and am inspired by these heroes.
