If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
The book itself is probably fine, but for me it was totally unlistenable due the the awful narration. What will your next listen be?
My next listen will be anything NOT read by Cathy Dobson. How did the narrator detract from the book?
CD's intonation was awful, her sing-song narration was dire and did not vary. I had hoped that it would get better or that I would get used to it but sadly this was not the caseAny additional comments?
I thought this book was great value for my credit and I'm sure that I would have enjoyed most of the stories, but the narration was intolerable. I'd like my money back!Don't buy until you have listened to the sample

Great stories, but only one reader
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
My ratings should not be a seen as a reflection on the stories but that of the narrators inability to hold the listeners attention and bring life to the imagination.
DON'T just don't!!!!!

What would have made Thirty Great Detective Stories better?
A different narratorHow did the narrator detract from the book?
She places emphasis on ALL the wrong words - is unable to speak in whole sentences which I would have thought is an essential requirement in a narrator. If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Thirty Great Detective Stories?
Wouldn't have employed that narratorAny additional comments?
Please don't employ that narrator again! She utterly ruined this series of excellent works. The worst narration I have ever heard
