Thriller

Overlong prologue, but some good stories.

thrillers killers and chillers

despite the rather self indulgent introduction to the collection by the editor this mix of 32 short stories is an excellent way of discovering some new authors for anyone who likes a true to type spy story, violent action piece, psychological thriller or murder mystery, and there's plenty of twisted tales. The briefer introduction to each story set it in context within the writers collection and give you an idea of other titles to try "if you like this..." I didn't enjoy the heavy nasal tones of the female reader (who provides the voice for those contributions by female authors plus 1 or 2 more, and it's a shame that a few more of the authors in the collection aren't available on Audible but all round a good choice for anyone who fancies trying something new.

kept me up all night -not!

The best thing about this book was the introductions by James Patterson. Some of the stories were passable but if I had wanted to know more about the spy trade or similar I would have bought that book (lets face it there are plenty). The stories were too short not at all clever and despite the authors amatuerish. Leave this book on the shelf or flick through it and choose something that might appeal to your reading mood. It won't keep you up at night that talent is left to more exciting authors nothing spooky there.
