Summary
Take a bite out of the markets with the Naked Trader! This audiobook is for anyone who really wants to consistently make money trading shares.
Trading and investing can be tough - most fail. The human mind is to blame. It’s prone to emotion, cluttered with distractions like Twitter and social media, easily trapped by scams. But it’s possible to make money in the markets - and to do so reliably.
Robbie Burns, aka The Naked Trader, has been trading successfully from his home for 15 years - making over £2m tax-free (while eating a lot of toast and watching Game of Thrones). He’s also met and helped thousands of fellow traders at his seminars, seen every possible trading meltdown, and knows exactly what can go wrong - but also how to put it right. In Trade Like a Shark, Robbie uses his unique firsthand experience and the real-life stories traders have shared with him to expose exactly how the human mind can play havoc with your trading. At the same time he reveals his tried-and-tested methods for overcoming it, showing how to be a shark, gobbling up money from the "fish" who are full of fear, greed, and other emotions. (And also why modelling yourself on Mr Spock can work wonders).
If you’ve run into problems trading in the stock market - or just want to reinforce good habits - there is no better or wittier guide to the pitfalls that are out there, and some surprisingly effective ways to overcome them. It's a must-listen-to book on trading psychology - without the jargon. Listen to it and take your trading to the next level now!

Good not great
I’m a big fan of Robbie burns, I use his book the naked trader as a bible of sorts and it’s done me wonders. This book is good for market psychology but nothing I haven’t figured out myself over the past few year, 100% recommend this for anyone new to trading

Highly recommended
Great overview of trading psychology without the jargon. Plus I emailed Robbie with a question and he responded that day. Brilliant. I can't imagine Jeffrey Archer doing that!

changed the way I thought about trading
A fantastic listen and about a thousand"oh my body, that's me!" moments....
don't know why everyone is moaning about the reader, he was absolutely fine, reminded me of Tony Hirst the voice of 'how it's made.'

God-awful narration!
Within a few minutes of listening to the book, I knew that this was going to be a hard ‘listen’. The narrator is truly awful! God knows how he ever got a job doing this. The book itself is alright, but is basically a re-cap of The Naked Trader, not providing much in terms of additional value.

Great book, worst narrator
I love all of Robbie burns books, I love them on audible even more because the narrator makes them amazing. This book on the other hand. What was Robbie thinking, the narrator can barley read. It made me want to literally kill myself. The information in the book it great but I will have to get a paperback because I can't listen to this guy any longer. Ruined. I don't understand. What's up with this narrator. He seems angry nothing like Robbie. More like one of those narrator bots on your phone or Siri. It's horrible. I cannot take his voice.

Some good points, but a simplistic and annoying
I listed to the Naked Trader beginners book many times when I started investing and found it very useful. I have read scores of investing books since so I did not find this book is as good, It repeats a lot of the content from the original Naked Trader but does add some more detail.
Robbie knows his stuff and is obviously well read. He takes the content of other books / gurus and summarises them in a simple style, but for me it is too simple. Whilst the ideas are good, it feels like this book is written by a 14 year old for his school mates, The humour is childish and annoying with pointless witty comments added to increase the word count. It is also read quite slowly. I set the reader to 1.3 x normal speed.
If you only intend to listen to a couple of books on investing then you might find this book helpful, but if you listen to a lot then this book will disappoint.

A voice you want to punch
The book is okay, a bit of a cash-in as it just expands on the psychological elements mentioned in his main book. Basically, don't be an idiot, trading is like gambling in that it requires analysis and work. Anyone who has played poker properly and successfully will already understand this. But the narration... Dreadful. Try the sample now. Just sound normal/likeable, mate.

a worthwhile warning about trading
More of a self help book than a trading textbook. Valuable content when paired with the naked trader.
The narration is cringe worthy and very over the top. I found it unbearable at less than 1.5x speed

Terrible narrator
I own and have read the book but wanted a different way to ‘reread’ it.
Couldn’t get past the first chapter as the narrator is awful. Sounds like he’s trying too hard to be earnest and serious. A shame because I really enjoy Robbie’s books because he has a light touch and humour which does not sit well with this person’s narration style. Will be returning it straight away.
Bring back Robbie.

Quite good
Good content, let down by the childish humour of the the author and the absolutely awful narration - that guy should be forbidden getting anywhere near a microphone
