Entertaining and insightful

This book is for anyone with good Spanish and an interest in Mexican history, culture and politics. The author pulls no punches as he highlights the corruption, inequalities and absurdities that have always been endemic in Mexico. Yet he also devotes much of the book to describing the gestrength, resilence, creativity and sheer joyfulness of the Mexican people. He does all this with style and humour.
