Summary
Exciting start of a brand-new series by a contemporary romance fan favorite.
After a devastating heartbreak three years ago, genealogist and historical village owner Nora Bradford has decided that burying her nose in her work and her books is far safer than romance in the here and now.
Unlike Nora, former Navy SEAL and Medal of Honor recipient John Lawson is a modern-day man, usually 100% focused on the present. But when he's diagnosed with an inherited condition, he's forced to dig into the secrets of his past and his adoption as an infant, enlisting Nora to help him uncover the identity of his birth mother.
The more time they spend together, the more this pair of opposites suspects they just might be a perfect match. However, John's already dating someone and Nora's not sure she's ready to trade her crushes on fictional heroes for the risks of a real relationship. Finding the answers they're seeking will test the limits of their identity, their faith, and their devotion to one another.

Contemporary Christian romance
I enjoyed listening to this contemporary Christian romance. I loved the characters and their spiritual journey just as much as their romance. The ending brought a year to my eye.

Lovely book
Really enjoyed the storyline and the narration is excellent. Found the themes of letting the Lord be the main thing in your life so helpful.
Off to read the rest of books.

Wow grate first book.
After reading Garner and Kathleen's story I could not wait to start the main novels in the series and this first book did not let me down.
It is very hard to review this book without giving huge plot spoilers away but i'll do my best. TO be honest it's very hard for me to put into words just how good this book was.
Firstly let's start with the characters, John and Nora were wonderful, it was clear from the start they were meant to be and as we delve further into the story and find out about John's herritage we begin to see just how much work god did to bring them together. They were so supportive to each other and I loved the way they worked together as a team to find John's answers.
I have to say I did not see the twist in the book coming when John's herritage was finally reveeled and would never have guest how linked John and Nora would turn out to be without knowing it.
I loved the christian element of the story and how god worked in both John's and Nora's lives. I also loved Willow and Brit and am looking forward to reading there stories.
This deserves a lot more than five stars and I can't wait to read the rest of this lovely series.

Funny, well written, clean & realistic romance
I wanted to leave a review from the first chapters because that's how GOOD True to You is! The writing, narration & storyline are fantastic. The book was also unsurprisingly funny. The characters were endearing. I liked Nora's quirks and I enjoyed the family dynamics. I'm definitely checking out the rest of the series. I avoided the Christian Romance genre for years but these days I long for clean and wholesome books. The secular stuff are often shallow, mostly highlighting sex and physical attraction. I wanted somwthing deeper and I found it here.
