Under the Wishing Well is about a house cat's first time outside on her own. Her name is Dewster, and her short adventure to the outdoors causes quite a stir with her friends, Baxter the dog and Chippy the chipmunk. Dewster, her friends, and the children who listen to this story learn a valuable lesson along the way, plus the true meaning of friendship. After Dewster is accidentally locked outside, she finds shelter through a secret tunnel that leads into Chippy's house, which is built under the wishing well.
