About this listen

'Until death us do part.' He meant it.

All Catherine wanted was a happy ever after. Swept off her feet by a charming lawyer, she learned not all fairy tales have a happy ending.

Sometimes death is the only escape.

Someone knows what you did...Revenge is coming.

While you could say the plot was a little obvious at times, I was still invested in the story and wanted to know how things worked out. I listened to this in a few days and was never bored, loved it!

I was invested in the characters

Realistic characters and a clever plot. C M Serpell knows how to pace a story and build tension. I highly recommend this book by a very accomplished author.

A gripping thriller

Really enjoyed the story and the journey of characters. I did wonder if the narrative parts of the story were read by a computer as it lacked the natural storytelling of a person which I did find a little off putting. I enjoyed the second part of the story which seemed to have less narration and more character interaction. Overall a great story.

Odd performance.
