Laughs galore

As seen on Tv....captured on CD...marvellous comedic monologues, great sketches and some wonderful wittily lines from this brilliant comedienne and her cast. Gone but not forgotten.

Victoria Wood's humour at its best

I am a fan of Victoria Wood, and loved every second of this. For those of us who remember her sketch shows the first time around, this is a real treat

Misleading Title

Love Victoria Wood - she was a comic genius - but this show was written for tv and is not as funny when you can't see the sketches at the same time.. Calling it The Radio Collection is misleading as it implies a show written only to be heard, which this is not. Disappointing.

I don’t feel it is worth 1 credit

You can’t rip the sound from a TV show and expect great reviews, I was expecting a good laugh from this one, how disappointing.

Victoria Wood - Radio Collection

I must emphasise the fact that I still think Victoria is the most talented comedienne, writer, actor,& producer we have ever seen in my lifetime. What I had not realised is that comedy is visual as much as audible. The characters I know well from Acorn Antiques do not travel unless you can see them - delivery is much diminished by this fact. The rapport between VW and Julie Walters is totally lost sadly. The book is not for me - you cannot get the full depth of the humour on radio alone even if you have seen the sketch on tv many times before. I have a lot of the Goon shows on Audible and they are great - just not the same for Victoria.
