Summary
The Dragon Heart has come of age and sets off with his Ulfheonar to fight the Saxons. A chance visit to a cave brings him face to face with his past and changes his life forever. Good easy listen
Maybe a little generic but still good. Three books in a week so it certainly gripped me. The story is not unnecessarily complicated like many are. I found that to be a refreshing change .

i could not stop listening to the series -any spare moment i could it would be on. thrilling story line,lots of action without being to overwhelming

Silly and shallow but strangely compelling !
It’s a bit of a Boys Own type yarn about a Jarl who can do no wrong. Don’t expect historical accuracy or a storyline craftily woven with deeply drawn characters. It’s just not kind of book. It’s more predictable rooting tooting fun that’s worth a listen.

Being awesome warriors is not a good enough story
It just seems to be about winning over small settlements and monasteries ... I stayed patiently with it for a long time, and have around two hours left, but giving up ..... so I guess I will miss out on the storyline, which I judge to hide amongst the swinging swords and honour between vikings. The narrator did a very good job of it though.
