Summary

Get ready for an explosive disaster shocker.... The attack that took down the grid was just the beginning....

The United States hasn’t even begun to recover from the first wave of pandemonium when a new terror is unleashed upon the nation.

Could you play God to decide who lives and dies?

While the horrors of nuclear destruction fall around him, one man must make a choice...and the decision will haunt him for the rest of his days.

The fallout is only the start....

With food and water already in short supply, this newest disaster introduces a whole new level of madness, bedlam, and havoc.

Wait like a Stone is book four in the SHTF series, a post-apocalyptic thriller series following ordinary people struggling to survive an apocalyptic event - that plunged the United States into chaos - immediately followed by another attack that might finally be the death of them all.

Emotional Rollercoaster

A great read that had me on the edge of my seat, I was blown away by the shocking plot twists, and left wrung out from the emotional rollercoaster. I've loved this series and am sad to see the end of it, but hope for something to look forward to by this author, this is a must read and 5 stars across the board.

Great series!!

This storyline is great. The way everything is written pulls you into the story. All books L. L. Akers that I have listened to are great!

A MUST READ BOOK

If only there were more than 5 stars.
I won't sugarcoat it. This book is dark, horrifying in parts, tear-jerking in others, and scarily realistic from start to finish. I really wanted to throw my arms around Puck, shake Graysons hand and tell him that what he did was heroic and kind and loving and that he is a truly wonderful person. I wanted to climb into the book and tell them what was coming. I wanted to climb in and slap a couple of the characters in the face, with a chair!
I can't believe it's finished. I've learnt to love many of the characters in this series and I need to know if they're okay after the ending.

Seriously, I can't say enough about how much these books held my heart and mind as I listened and desperately hoped that (I'm going to be generalising to avoid spoilers)
They would get there in time
They would survive the gang
They would find a way to escape
They would not be drowned
He would save the day, again
I would find another box of tissues before I started listening again

The scene setting, character development, story arcs, and narration, were outstanding. I consider myself fortunate to have found this series and this author. I know that all day today, and pray tomorrow to, at the very least, I'm going to be worrying about the characters and how they are getting on.
