Duncan Bannatyne
About this listen
As Duncan Bannatyne reached thirty, he was still living the life of a beach bum in Jersey. Fearing that he was about to become the oldest swinger in town, and anxious to settle down with his partner, he realised that what he needed to do was to become a millionaire. Five years later, he was one.
In this inspirational yet hugely practical book, Duncan Bannatyne shows how listeners can assess where they are in their lives and start to do something to improve things by understanding what their strengths are. He then shows how to change your life and set yourself on a more successful path. Finally, he reveals his key tips for how to put together a great pitch that could take you into the Dragons' Den, or even past your bank manager, to get the support you need to make your dreams come true.
Throughout it all, he gives fascinating insights from his own career that prove how his ideas have worked for him - and could work for anyone else willing to learn from him.

Lots of useful advice for someone looking to start their own business and very inspirational listening to the case studies.
Great book

The book reveals important chapters in his personal and business life. The way he has dealt with difficult situations and his courage of conviction all contribute to the mindset that has seen his rise from a tough Clydebank estate to multi-millionnaire.
Personally, I have found the two books on Duncan Bannatyne to be the most inspirational business books that I have read and would highly recommend them both.
Highly Inspirational - An Excellent Read.

I think the book is aimed at the person who needs to make a few financial decisions and this book offers specific and objective advice to all age and income levels. The advice is specific and clear.
The single most important item this book mentions to me is that if you are forty and have no real pension provision, if you make an effort you don't have to be super rich to be ok. That was the bit I was interested in although as mentioned the advice does cover other people's needs and the advice is specific enough to use.
If I were to offer a criticism of the book it seems that there is an element of Autobiographical background that seems to common to all of the Banatyne series of financial books, initially it inspirational but after a while it is of limited practical benefit.
So essentially you are buying a cracking book with some really good advice and you get a potted history of the Dunc.
The narration is clear and of a high quality.
Uncle Dunc does a debunk on the mystery of money.

The most annoying thing however, was the narrator’s non- stop, inept and unnecessary attempts at various British accents. Just utterly ridiculous and cringe worthy.
Not enough
