In 1999, Munjed Al Muderis was a surgical resident working in Baghdad when the military police marched into the operating theatre and ordered the team to mutilate army deserters. Inspiring - a story of hope and determination

A beautifully written and nicely narrated story which fills the reader with despair at the injustices some people must face in
Life; while simultaneously evoking huge inspiration and admiration at the writer’s will and determination to achieve his life goals. The author gives you the bare facts without being perceived as a victim. A story of hope and determination that I am so glad I stumbled across.
