About this listen

'Nicola Tallant, not for the first time, demonstrates why she is the very best writer on crime. No novelist alive could ever imagine the very complex and very dark human dramas that she skilfully unravels, delivering page after page of truth-telling that we must pay attention to' - Darragh MacIntyre

From the author of the 2023 bestselling Cocaine Cowboys, murder and deception and the underworld of Irish gangland intertwine in a deadly dance of power and survival.

A murder in Belfast of gangland's most wanted man, Robbie Lawlor, uncovers a web of betrayal that spans out across the Irish underworld and beyond. Follow a bloody trail that leads all the way into the heart of one of the worst gang feuds Ireland has ever seen which culminates in the Narco style dismemberment of a teenage boy, Keane Mulready Woods. And as the curtain is pulled back on the inner workings of the world of organised crime, a cast of ruthless characters take centre stage for their place in a double cross plot that reads like a fast-paced thriller.©2024 Nicola Tallant (P)2024 Bonnier Books UK

Detailed insight into Irish drugs gangs and feuds. Nice that Nicola also narrated it. Waiting for her next book.

This complex story in it's depth is explained so clearly.

Another fabulous title by Nicola Tallant. Her books and podcast keeps me tuned in wk after wk. I tell my friends in Ireland what's going on over there as I'm listening from Scotland.

Beyond Excellence

There's never going to be enough words to describe the absolute perfection of the author being the narrator of this super comprehensive detailed down to the earth book the best I've ever encountered outside of literally an inside account of the Existence covered. certainly owe the author a thanks being able to being shoulder to shoulder as possible and coming out undetected as a reader and life spared

Couldn’t stop listening

Great book. I’m not sure how I got so interest in irish crime but Nicola probably has something to do with that. I like how this book goes through the history of crime in Ireland from the 80s up to present day and how it’s all linked. I’m now hooked on the podcast too! Highly recommend

Waste of money

All the information is readily available online. She spends half the book talking about Gilligan and Dutchy Holland . complete waste of money
