Summary
Ditched by her high school sweetheart, Callum Archer, on the night they're supposed to elope, Jo Kendall casts out on her own, brokenhearted.
Over the years, Jo reels in a life she loves, centered on the outdoors, fishing (favoring a lucky wedding band lure), and her fine dining restaurant - a life that crashes away when her husband and business partner cheats her, leaving her bankrupt and alone.
Then her uncle dies, bequeathing Jo and her sister, Samantha, his rural property. Jo returns to Greenridge determined to build a new business and permanent home - without the help of a man. Unfortunately, Samantha wants her inheritance in cold, hard cash and hires a lawyer to get it for her, a lawyer who turns out to be none other than Jo's long-lost love, Callum.
Jo's fledgling plans - and her heart - are at risk once more.
If Jo can fight her insecurities, she might end up with a wedding band that doesn't come with a sharp hook. But should she risk everything she's worked for, yet again? Before she can decide, she needs to know: Can a lost love truly be reclaimed?

Refreshing Listen!
I love a great second chance at love romance. Ev Bishop wrote this clean story beautifully. Jo and Callum are the main characters in this book. They were teenage lovers who planned on eloping. Miscommunication and misunderstandings have gotten in their way along with friends and family. The imagery in this story was so vibrant. The twist that Samantha (selfish sister of Jo) interjected into the book was fantastic. I love it when an author weaves more than one story into one. Sarah Grant performed this book eloquently and had very realistic emotions. I loved the starting new story. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

So refreshing!
There is nothing better than a second chance romance. Ev Bishop has come up with a story about second chances not only about starting over, but is very ordinary and believable. So many times, the story relies on some outrageous action. This story of Jo and Callum is very real and shows how misunderstanding can result in disaster.Jo and Callum were high school sweethearts, ready to elope and start the next step of their new life. When things did not go as expected, the two went on with their lives until they met again 15 years later. Is the spark still alive? Will they figure out what went wrong? I love this story, the things the two have to work through are very authentic and can easily be related to in our lives. The supporting characters, even those you love to hate like Nina and Dave are people we all know and this makes the story so easy to connect to. I love the outcome, the relationships with the families, the expectations of parents, the shattered and rebuilding of dreams. All things to make a story great and enjoyable. I can't wait to see what is in store in book 2!
My first narration by Sarah Grant was a wonderful experience. I loved her pace of the story, and her voices were great! She performs convincing male voices and has a numerous array of female voices giving each character a distinguishable personality. She is a pleasure to listen to.
