Summary

M.J., her partner Gilley, and their client, the wealthy, de-lish Dr. Steven Sable, are at his family's lodge, where his grandfather allegedly jumped to his death from the roof-although Sable says it was foul play. But the patriarch's isn't the only ghost around. The place is lousy with souls, all with something to get off their ghoulish chests. Now M.J. will have to quell the clamor-and listen for a voice with the answers...

Sickening in places

Ack!

This story could benefit hugely from editing out the dire, "Oh he's so hot I just HAVE to allow him to get away with invading my personal space, and touching me, uninvited..." rubbish.

This book is obviously written by a woman who is so lacking in self-esteem that she believes arrogant and entitled men are automatically given rights over women's bodies simply because they're good looking. It's really quite sickening.

This author REALLY needs to let her main protagonist learn the benefits of the sharp application of a knee to the man's groin. An elbow to the nose or, if he persists, a finger in the eye would also be more effective deterrents, and a far better move than simply responding to man pawing at her by melting into his embrace and encouraging him... {gag!}.

If the cat-in-heat reactions were removed the actual story might not be so bad. As it is.... I might get pushed to the point of not caring enough about the main protagonist to bother listening to the last third of the book and finding out how it ends.

The most stilted delivery of the English language imaginable

A good story line utterly ruined by someone apparently incapable of reading with normal intonation.

Every last line is delivered with a noticeable and irritating pause before “I said” gets added.

Were they being paid by duration, so had to string out their delivery?

Good book, appalling delivery
