THE INTERNATIONAL #1 BESTSELLING AUTHOR

A body is found in the hills – but the truth still lies buried...

In a small town in the Deep South, Flora Dane is part of a task force committed to hunting down every last trace of notorious serial kidnapper Jacob Ness. As his last victim, imprisoned by Ness in a small box for over a year, she knew him better than most. Even after his death, his evil still lingers.

But this is the kind of town that doesn’t take kindly to strangers asking questions.

The kind of town where dark secrets lurk just beneath the surface.

The kind of town she might not leave alive.

Featuring Detective D.D. Warren and FBI Special Agent Kimberley Quincy

Very enjoyable

I love Lisa Gardner and this series. This book is quite atmospheric.

The characters have developed satisfyingly over the years and are either suitably kind and committed to their tasks or dastardly and evil.

I read most of the books rather than listening to audiobooks but Regina Reagan is the next best thing to reading them myself.

Time to stop stretching Jacob Ness.

Regina Reagan, was as always a great narrator. The storylines around JN are going on too long for my liking. Flora, Keith, DD are great and should stay but move along, it’s been drawn out to unbelievable extents now and it just seems like the author is knocking out another book for money. Shame.

Should be in the Y/A section

Juvenile and repetitive. Some parts could copy/paste, hard to tell.
Regina Regan does her best, but cannot save the story. Returned.
