Summary
Wicca For Beginners is your comprehensive guide towards understanding the real basics of what the Wiccan path is about. Full of historical knowledge and important figures like Gerald Gardner, Doreen Valiente, and Aleister Crowley, Wicca for Beginners will take you onto an intellectual journey and educate you on the true basics, laws, and honor code that is barely touched on.
Sure you can buy someone’s book about magic, but Wicca for Beginners is a true guide that will stay with you throughout the test of time. It stays away from typical mainstays like how to cast spells and telling you what tools you need to have and instead focuses on your need to know the real basics behind spellcasting in general, how you can use tools that are specifically important to you, and how to communicate with the deities you are connected to.
While listening to this audiobook you’ll learn:
- The dark history behind paganism.
- Basic definitions like Wicca, Coven, Pagan, and Neopagan.
- That there are different styles to perform rituals and ceremonies.
- That each coven has a different aspect of worship.
- That it’s okay if you want to be a solitary witch.
- About rumors that researchers like Margaret Murray or occultists like Eliphas Levi concluded and what occurred after.
- The difference between Aleister Crowley the occultist and Aleister Crowley the fictional character.
- How to compare and contrast past ardanes from the founding Gardnerian era to the more modern ardanes today.
- Five basic spells to help you in your everyday life.
- The truth behind the ancient and cultural significance behind the Pentagram.
- Who the Goddess and God really are, what they represent, and how they can help you as a beginner starting their Wiccan path.

An incredible listen!
This book is what got me started in the Craft! Judith Guise is very unbiased, and uses a very practical approach in his books, which I absolutely love! he also has a list of recommended readings at the end of each of his books, which I have found invaluable as I learn more and more about the craft! Now, I have been practicing witchcraft and Wicca for a little over a year now, and have never found anything else so fulfilling! Thank you Judith Guise.

Open minded presentation
I appreciated the simple way information was presented. When I started listening this I had next to no knowledge of Wicca beliefs. I also appreciated the openness of how each belief is presented. I will be looking deeper into Judith Guise's books.

Great listen!!
I LOVED this book. It serves as an excellent guide for those interested in learning about the craft but have nowhere to start. I also loved how the author tried their best to keep it as unbiased as possible. They even stated that their opinion might be unconsciously biased due to the nature of how different wicca is for every practitioner.

Good read for beginners
I am an independent believer seeking a different belief system other than monotheism. And honestly, I recommend new beginning wiccans to read this text. As the author states, it's easy to digest, understand, and better outlook. Nowhere it states any sort of bias or negative atmosphere, and in some chapters, is blunt to admit wicca is an easy religion to understand depending on that person. It's a very open religion in a gray area, but as a positive output.

Great one for Beginners!
I gave this book 5 stars because it's got me itching to jump in and learn as much as I can about Wicca and the Craft. I am really drawn to nature, weather and the seasons, and Judith Guise's book gives great ideas on how to pull all of these things together to help enhance your daily life and a pursuit to embracing Wicca, no matter how you choose to do so. Follow what sounds and feels right to YOU...I just love that advice! I would absolutely recommend Wicca for Beginners to anyone interested in pursuing Wicca. Just like Lisa says, research and learn all you can to increase your Wicca and Craft knowledge, but be sure to start with this audible book right here! Thank you...blessed be!

Judith Guise's style is easy to listen!
Judith Guise's style is easy to listen, packed with information that is usable and actionable. I appreciate that she encourages personal exploration, not mindless acceptance. I have several of her books and have just ordered more. Great resource for the curious, novice or experienced practitioner who is always learning.
