About this listen

Step into the magical world of Hedgewitch, where the land of Faerie lies just beyond our own...

The enchanting new series continues.

Cassie has settled into life in Hedgely when, out of the blue, her troubled cousin, Sebastian, comes to stay for Hallowe'en. Sneering and scornful, Sebastian trails after Cassie and her friends, interfering with their coven projects and belittling the dangers of the faery world.

But Cassie, Rue and Tabitha have bigger problems – as the nights grow longer, a dark shadow creeps out of the Hedge and villagers start behaving strangely, possessed with the desire to find a mysterious object.

When the Hedgewitch is called away, the girls decide to investigate and discover that whoever is controlling the villagers is seeking a faery relic: an ancient and dangerous weapon, hidden somewhere in the village. Their magical training will be put to the test as they venture deeper into the Hedge and race to find the faery treasure before it falls into the hands of the Erl King.

for adults and kids an amazing story about Hedgewitch.
read Hedgewitch before Woodwitch.
both terrific books about a girl Cassandra that lives in a bording school and moves to her aunt when no payments are received anymore.
her aunt is a witch.
a witch is not born...witches are made.
this becomes true for Cassandra.

A cosy Halloween witch book

A new season has begun autumn is the busiest time in a witches calendar. With the great celebration of Halloween ahead of us

Non spoilery audiobook review ⬇️

This series has such a cosy, witchy vibe to it. Think the Girl Guides but instead they are training to become witches. Perfect book to read/listen to if you’re longing for Halloween and dark cosy evenings.

At the beginning of Woodwitch Cassie’s troubled cousin, Sebastian comes to stay with them during Halloween. feeling left out Sebastian tries to fit in with Cassie and her friends but gets pushed a way.
Cassie, Rue and Tabatha have more worrying issues to worry about than her cousin. Something dark is making the residents of Hedgely act weirdly. And Aunt Miranda (The Hedgewitch) has been called away on urgent business so Cassie and her friends take it upon themselves (even though they’ve been warned not to interfere) to find out the truth behind the mysterious happening. But will they have to go deep into the Hedge to find some answers?

I loved that we got to delve more into the different shops, people and businesses in Hedgely in book two. I absolutley love the sound of Brambles Tearooms.
The audiobook just add so much more depth/cinematic feel to the whole story/world that Skye McKenna has created. I would highly recommend looking at the maps yes there are two for Woodwitch that are in the beginning of the book whilst listening to this audiobook because they again add to so much to the story.

I highly recommend Woodwitch to any middle grade reader that likes Halloween, adventure, family and friendship in their books
