About this listen

Multiplying foes. A deadly city. And with no clear path to his goals, how will Michael survive Nexus?

Michael reaches Nexus, but finds advancing more challenging than he’d anticipated. Factions abound, allegiances shift, and separating truth from lies is harder than ever.

The line between friend and foe blurs, and Michael’s path grows murkier.

Nexus is a place of both opportunity and danger. Sitting at the heart of the world, the city is home to thousands—ordinary people, players, but Powers too. Can Michael remain free of their clutches, or will he become entangled in the Powers’ machinations?

Will Nexus be the death of Michael?

Follow Michael on his epic journey and find out!

An excellent solo player adventure

This is one of my favourite series. Its very rare for a character to play solo and stick to it, I really like that he does.

The world building, magic system and exploration are all well done, interesting and have plenty of room to grow. I am glad the main character is not getting too powerful too quickly as that can ruin a story.

I enjoyed the shopping aspect of the story because you don't know what you will discover and the items available add depth to the world created. I worry for the main characters lack of wealth in a world where its so needed to survive.

I thought the dungeons and the exploration were well described.

The narrator did a fantastic job and his pace was perfect. He deserves thanks. A most enjoyable listen

If you enjoyed the previous books you should enjoy this one. I look forward to the next book and how all the plots and plans unfold.

That Cliff hanger!!

i loved it! we got to learn more about not just the dungeons but also the factions as well. the first half of the book is a bit slow burn as there is not much leveling up as Micheal finds his footing , but the second half...damn..and again that ending was criminal..i need more

Great book but...

This isn't the best book out there if you want a realistic(ish) main character. But, with that said, it is totally fun read and really enjoyable. It's a great book and follows an interesting plot, but considering the MC's low level, everything he encounters is far too easy. As someone who has played video games, beating someone a min of 50 lvs higher than yourself is virtually impossible. It can happen once in a while, particularly if you catch them by surprise, but generally you'll lose in a straight up fight.

The MC is OP and everyone is rubbish. He ignores a levelling gap because he's OP and continuously slaughters everyone. He doesn't find anything challenging and everything tends to go right (all of the time or they take a slight deviation).

I enjoy the fact that he wins. I like the MC's progress, his abilities and the world system. The simplicity isn't a deciding factor, for me it is a bonus...
But, I thought it best to raise this for others.

I will be continuing on with the series! I can't wait so see how he develops in the next book! 4.5/5

The other books are MUCH better

All of a sudden the main character does everything wrong, fails everything and is just a miserable character to follow. Why change so much? Why can’t people just continue a good recipe for a series? Why the stupid need to flip everything? Bye.

Mixed feelings

First I really like this series.

I have a problem with this whole Alpha idea... it is out of date. Wolf packs dont have an alpha they have a father... and he keeps everything in line.

Last class is lame.... all things he gets there would better fit on items...
