Maybe I should have concluded that this book was not for me from the summary and the sample clip before buying it, but I didn't. I found next to zero useful information in it. It goes on and on about attending conferences and networking in general and playing games or consuming other media you are going to work with. Well. Thank you for stating the obvious. Besides, for someone who pretends to explain how writing works, the author didn't do much writing in this book. It's filled with interviews where people tell about their career trajectories and self promote. I imagine that young aspiring writers may find some sort of inspiration in it but I, as a person who wanted to gain more knowledge about writing didn't learn anything.
