About this listen

It all starts as pretend.

To everyone else, Hunter is the most powerful man in New York. Respected by his associates and feared by his competitors.

But to me? He's just my best friend. my sexy-as-hell best friend.

It was easy to agree to help him fake a romance.

After all, who knows him like I do? Convincing his tight-knit family takes a little more: An unexpected kiss that makes my skin sizzle, my knees go weak.

Before I know it, our banter turns to flirting and Hunter's hell-bent on charming me. On our first night together, we barely keep our hands off each other. Our second night together is intense and alluring and it lights me on fire.

How can I pretend I'm not falling for real?

Good read, no annoying characters

Easy and fun! Female narrator's voice was a bit aggy but not enough to put me off. I was rooting for them!

A great start to a new series.

What do you do when your best friend of 15 years can't get his US visa renewed? You do him a favour and marry him of course!

In my opinion, there is nothing quite like a friends to lovers storyline and in You're The One, Layla Hagan certainly delivers.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell as Hunter and Josie, guide us through the journey to their HEA beautifully.

Along the way we meet, what I hope are, future main characters in Hunter's cousins.

I loved it

You're The One was my first Layla Hagen novel and I loved it. This novel combined friend to lovers and fake marriage tropes into one sweet, feel good romance that had me hooked from beginning to end. I loved Hunter and Josie and enjoyed seeing them move from friends to so much more. Their flirty banter, intense chemistry and steamy scenes had me hooked and I loved their interactions with each other and their family. This was a fantastic story and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
I listened to the audiobook version of this novel which was narrated by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell. These two were perfect choices for these characters infusing personality and emotion into their voices and bringing the story to life. I loved their voices and enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.

5 stars!

I’ve been a fan of Layla Hagen’s for a while now, so it’s no surprise when I say I LOVED THIS BOOK! Her writing flows smoothly, making this an easy read. While Josie is highly relatable, Hunter made me swoon! Their chemistry was off the charts and I was rooting for them from the start. This book is light, steamy, and VERY entertaining! I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next!

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were perfect for their roles and made the story come alive.

You’re the One is a friends-to-lovers, marriage-of-convenience contemporary romance written in dual first-person POV and performed in dual narration. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
