Summary
The beginning...
The beginning is always the best place to start when reflecting on what has been.
Thinking back on it, my life had been perfect.
Middle class girl in high school with a happy home life.
My life had been full of nothing but promise.
Life was good.
Everything was great.
And then my whole world went to shit. In one day.
The disease came first.
Then the dead.
It was a fight for my life every single day from the start. But I was different from all the rest.
I had heard my mother's screams while watching my sister become one with the undead. All the while feeling like there was absolutely nothing I could do to help them.
It killed me.
What’s more, it changed me.
I did everything I possibly could to survive on my own.
And then I learned how to survive with others.
By being their Queen.
Their Zombie Queen.
And by being the most feared woman they ever came in contact with.
This is a WhyChoose novel full of zombies, a sword wielding badass chick, and an army of dudes.
Recommended age 17+ due to content and language.

brilliant book and love the audio
This book I've read it before and got my hands on the audio. so glad I did. I love both authors. emerald goes through q personal growth in such a short time and is living in the apocalypse. I wonder how it'll be like and if I could be like her. I pray I do. yielding a sword and being this formidable. I pray for it.

Not your typical Zombie book
I don’t do Zombie books but the narrator Kelley Huston recommended this I had to give it a go. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it Emerald it a total badass takes no crap from humans and zombies alike. I loved how the guys tried to protect her from the start however it’s Emerald who saves their asses . The only issue I had was it ending leaving me needing more more more and I’m not sure if there’s going to be anymore books or it’s just this book apart from that the book is great.

Amazing Audio
If you like a sassy feisty strong heroine and a diverse mix of guys all completely different but it just works. Plenty of action and adventure and sassiness
This is a well written action packed zombie apocalypse reverse harem. Fresh with great world building and characterisation I did not want to put it down, I certainly hope that there is more to come, a riveting and exciting read
The narrators really bring this amazing story to life, pulling you in completely and losing you into the story. With great tones of voices they compliment each other and the story

Interesting and entertaining read
I really enjoyed this book it was entertaining and combined my two favourite genres reverse harem and zombies, whats not to like? The heroine Emerald is strong and capable, but used to being alone, learning to live with others is a difficult challenge. I hope there will be more books to follow, because this could be the start of a fantastic series.
