About this listen
A laugh-out-loud communist-punching adventure!
Sam Rockwell came home from the Second World War to work as a fledgling private investigator specializing in helping "Returns": recently deceased ghosts who've come back with unfinished business. Short on experience and long on the imitated swagger of the detectives found in his dog-eared collection of pulp fiction P.I. mysteries, the quick-witted Sam waits for his big break - and his chance to win the heart of Amelia, his Girl Friday.
But when his no-nonsense father is murdered and becomes a Return himself, everything changes. Sam sets out to find his father's killer, only to find himself caught up in a madcap game of Cold War intrigue.
Humorous and hard-boiled, 'til Death is a witty, feel-good throwback to the golden age of Hollywood noir.

Now that’s how to tell a ghost story 👻👻👻👻
Rarely has an “About The Title” been more succinct [Apart from ‘Jaws’ which was described as “A story about a big fish.”!
And, without any further ado, read that, listen and, like me, you’ll probably smile all the way through it?

Returning from the dead desn't get more fun than t
With a great plotline, this story drew me in from the first few sentences. Solid plot, well written and easy to fall into the era it is set in.
Johnny Heller's narration on the other hand gave gave it that delivery the story requires. Impeccably delivered, his 1950's drawl immediately took me into the era it is set. Ghost, detective and time-travel all inn one. Definitely, a very fun listen.
