11: Charlotte Clarke: 100km Ultramarathon Runner

  • Summary

  • Charlotte Clarke is an adventurer and endurance athlete who is passionate about encouraging others no matter the obstacles. Growing up Charlotte was a professional dancer who had to undergo 2 heart surgeries which changed her perception of sport and made her realise performance based goals are much more healthy than aesthetic ones.
In our conversation we chat about Charlotte's surgeries, dig deep into her mindset and how her running journey went from starting out with a 5k to now racing 100k ultras for fun! We also chat about the importance of goals, the struggles of what training for these big races look like, routine, discipline and how comparing yourself to others takes the joy out of movement.
Charlotte is a seriously inspiring driven woman who has her eyes set on some huge goals. I honestly was left feeling so motivated and even contemplating putting my toe back into 100km race! I hope you are left feeling excited and inspired to reach for those big dreams and goals after listening to Charlotte and knowing that no matter the obstacle you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
