Hamare nakhun keratin naamak protein se bane hote hai. Swasth nakhun chikne aur chamakdar hote hai. Unka rang ek samaan hota hai, kahin koi daag-dhabba nahi hota hai. Har koi chahta hai ki uske nakhun swasth aur chamakdar ho, lekin nakhunon ko sundar rakhne ke liye sirf upari dekhbhal aur saaf safai hi zaroori nahi hai, balki paushtik khadya padarthon ka sevan bhi zaroori hai. Nakhunon ko swasth rakhne ke liye achchhe poshan ki aavashyakta hoti hai. Poshak bhojan ke sevan se nakhunon ka vikas bhi hota hai aur wo shaktishali bhi bante hai. Aise bhojan, jisme calcium, zinc, iron aur vitamin A, B, C, aur D ki matra adhik hoti hai, yah nakhunon ko poshan pradan karte hai. Zinc ki kami ho jaane se nakhunon par safed dhabbe ho jaate hai. Root vegetables, sabut anaaj, mans aur machhli zinc ke achchhe strot hai. Calcium prapt karne ke liye doodh, dugdh utpadon, hari pattedar sabziyon, kele, bread, tofu aadi ka sevan karein. Yah vitamin daal, doodh aur dugdh utpadon mein paaya jaata hai. Jab nakhunon ki niyamit roop mein dekhbhal ki jaati hai, tabhi wo sundar aur akarshak dikhte hai.
