Concerns about his age and cognitive abilities have been voiced by many, from voters to political figures like President Donald Trump and even Democratic Congressman Dean Phillips, who challenged Biden in the 2024 primaries citing the need for "generational change." The Robert Hur report, noting "significant limitations" in Biden's memory, further fueled these concerns, especially after his debate performance in June 2024 which led to his withdrawal from the reelection bid.
