  • The Crime Roundup: Live at CrimeCon UK 2025 with Professor David Wilson
    Jun 27 2025

In this monthly collaboration series, Adam from the UK True Crime podcast and I take a step back from individual cases to explore a curated selection of gripping crime stories that made headlines in June 2025. From chilling local, national, and international headlines to quirky and more lighthearted stories, this series offers a glimpse into the diverse and often shocking world of true crime.

This month's episode is a little bit different as it was recorded LIVE at CrimeCon UK London 2025 on June 7 in the Podcast Live Studio. This was the first time Adam and I had met in person, believe it or not, and we were very appreciative of those who attended the session and got involved in the discussions - thank you!

We were also honoured to have had Professor David Wilson in the audience and we're beyond grateful for your contributions during the session.

Join us as we dive into these extraordinary stories in the June 2025 LIVE edition of The Crime Roundup.

  • S18E06 | Kate Prout (Redmarley, Gloucestershire, 2007)
    Jun 25 2025

In November 2007, a woman vanished from her rural farmhouse in the Gloucestershire countryside without a trace. At first, it seemed she may have simply left - a private decision, perhaps, to start again elsewhere. But as days turned into weeks, and then months, suspicions grew.

Kate Prout was a retired schoolteacher, known for her love of nature, her creativity, and her deep ties to the local community. She lived a quiet life on a sprawling farm in the Forest of Dean - a place she’d once called her dream home.

What followed was an investigation that spanned years, challenged detectives, and divided a village. And at the centre of it all was a single question: what really happened to Kate?

If you’re experiencing domestic abuse and feel frightened of, or controlled by, a partner, an ex-partner or family member, it’s important to remember that it’s not your fault and there is no shame in seeking help. Free, confidential support and advice is available to victims and their concerned family members or friends, 24 hours a day:

  • Crossover Episode | AITA?: John and Josh from 'Reddit on Wiki' Join Me for a Moral Dilemma Deep Dive
    Jun 22 2025

This week’s episode is a little different than usual - but stick with me, I promise it’s worth it.

Rather than diving into a British murder case or chatting with a true crime expert, I’m joined by my good mates John and Josh from across the pond for a special ‘Am I the A**ehole?’ session.

John and Josh are two-thirds of the hit podcast 'Reddit on Wiki' - and after months of back and forth (they're busy lads), I finally managed to sit down with them and record this long-overdue crossover.

If you’re unfamiliar with AITA, here’s the gist: Josh reads out wild moral dilemmas he finds on Reddit, and John and I weigh in on whether the original poster was out of line… or just misunderstood.

Yes, it’s a bit of a curveball from my usual content - but if you’re into stories about questionable behaviour, moral grey areas, and you fancy a good laugh, I think you’ll enjoy this one.

Head to redditonwiki.com to learn more about my guests and their show.

I love these podcasts. I’m interested in the psychology of murderers. I particularly like the older murder cases and comparing the MO of murderers then, to more modern murderers. Can’t “put it down”.

Found the show about a month ago and nearly binged it all, Only complaint when the perpetrator gets incarcerated and dies in jail you’ll say date of death but not how long they actually spent in jail
I know you’ve done a show in Kilmarnock, Scotland before can I request another. Cheers !
