  • Summary

  • Brooklyn North is the true story of how four black men were wrongfully convicted of murder —nearly all connected to a once-legendary NYPD homicide detective, Louis Scarcella. Jonathan Fleming, Sundhe Moses, Jabbar Washington and John Bunn were among dozens of innocent New Yorkers, who spent decades in prison —guilty until proven innocent. This Original documentary follows their relentless fight to unveil an insidious pattern of police and prosecutorial corruption in Brooklyn at the height of the war on drugs and a historic peak in violent crime in the 1980s and ‘90s.

A true tragedy

These are appalling and true, and truly heartbreaking. The courage of the wrongly convicted is vast. I would hope this does not happen anymore, but I suspect this is false hope.

Not an easy listen but well narrated and worthwhile

Fascinating and so disturbing

A brilliantly curated podcast that shows the utter scandal and wrongful punishment that so many people face due to crooked criminal justice, corrupt law enforcement, and systemic racism.

very good listen

this is a very very sad story of what happened to those men it had me in tears quite a few times. when you listen to it you can't believe how someone could actually do that to another person it is horrifying what happened to those men and to find out that who did it still walks free and the police officer that convicted them still walked free also. and I hope that those men still alive are now mangeing to live there lives happy.
