About this listen

With such huge diversity in both form and habits, what is it that makes a dinosaur distinct from a crocodile or a lizard?

Ben explores the stores in London’s Natural History Museum to meet the earliest known dinosaur and learns of the cataclysmic events that came about at the dawn of this incredible group of animals.

Even though I’m not usually interested in non- fiction podcasts, I’ve found the first episode of this podcast really engaging. The way that it combines narration with interviews helps to present the information in a varied way. It also uses accessible language, instead of getting too scientific, making it easy to follow. Looking forward to listening to the next episodes!

Interesting and well narrated

It might be hard to imagine how dinosaurs, literally an age old, could be redone. In fact, this series is a refreshing take, it is factual but still fun for those new to the subject or for dinosaur lovers (and sceptical other half who starts turning over for a listen just minutes in).

The time references help give a perspective that is often overlooked, the delivery is enthusiastic without feeling childish. The understandable time references make it way more accessible than a jumble of numbers, and although it's fun to see cgi/sketches/bones, the description allows for imagination to take over.

I didn't have an opinion on dinosaurs previously, but this is now our amongst our favourite 'wind down at the end of the day' series and we might learn a thing or two along the way!

Like having a friend (or 5) who REALLY likes dinosaurs

"if you look here" "here we have..." we can't see.. ruined everything before begins because I feel like I'm missing something. I hope this is only at the begining and it isn't throughout
