With the killer steadily adding more victims to their deadly tally, Skulduggery and Valkyrie delve decidedly deeper into the dark and disturbing history of the Hollow Hotel. Tragedy, horror, love, and evil are as much as part of this place as bricks and mortar, and the answers to their questions may very well lie in the blood-drenched history of what has gone before.
It is not bad in any particular way, but it does feel as though it's missing some of the usual dry humour and sarcasm and in it's place the dialogue is a little leaning towards the absurd end of comedy. And the characters who I think are meant to be annoyingly funny are just...annoying.
Still, a decent episode overall, the plot is moving along nicely and the continued reveal of information makes me look forward to the next episode.
