  • Sir Gareth Southgate, sir
    Jun 27 2025

That's a wrap on the group stages for the Club World Cup! Sadly, we're saying goodbye to the mighty Mamelodi Sundowns and River Plate, who oh so nearly gave us a proper brawl against Inter. Shame.

Marcus, Luke, Vish and Andy (fresh back from LA!) discuss that and just how f**cked Juventus players Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah are after slagging off Italian food. Plus, in the time it's taken you to read this, Cristiano Ronaldo has probably made a £1m and been served a diamond encrusted steak by 15 different members of staff thanks to his new Al Nassr deal. Join us!

And remember: what's the most famous arse you've ever seen? Can you beat Dennis Irwin? Email us show@footballramble.com.

  • On The Continent: Au revoir Olympique Lyonnais
    Jun 26 2025

Today, we're bringing you a special episode from Andy's European rabble over at On The Continent!

He's joined by Dotun and French football expert Jonathan Johnson to explore Lyon's relegation (provisionally) to Ligue 2. How on earth did such an illustrious club get to breaking point, and who is to blame for their demise?

Plus, as Atlético Madrid crash out of the Club World Cup, is time finally up for Diego Simeone? And Benfica continue to surprise us all across the pond. But with Premier League opposition up next, can they give another European giant a bloody nose?

Want more from the best European football podcast out there? Subscribe here for new episodes every Thursday and Friday throughout the summer!

Prompted with a question for Dotun, Andy and their guests? Send them in on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok, or email us here: otc@footballramble.com.

I've been listening to the Ramble since 2010 and they continue to provide an entertaining but also well informed view of the world football. The jokes, coupled with different lineups each episode mean while there is familiarity each pod isn't the same.

My only negative is that despite listening (and emailing in) for almost 15 years, seeing 3 live shows and meeting the lads, I've still yet to get official friend of the ramble status. Howay lads!

Best football podcast around

Arguably the best football podcast put there, forget all the glitz and glimmer of the sky sports podcasts and listen to these guys! No nonsense opinions and top banter.

Brilliant content. Tackle the serious and the ridiculous with facts and hilarity. I recommend highly.

Funny and informative football podcast. Good length as well at 45 mins , some football podcasts are too long at well over an hour. Has a variety of speakers which rotate so is always different.

I've been listening since 2010 and the team provide a very enjoyable football podcast at no cost to me. Lots of laughs, with occasional football content.

If Luke could stop interrupting people, it would be even better.

P.S. Southampton are a bigger club than Portsmouth.

Forza Ramble

Some of the content is great and some of the presenters are great but the show is spoiled by a couple of awful ones. Pete Donaldson is the most annoying self righteous prick and an immediate turn off. Dotun Adebayo is a terrible presenter.
Kudos to Jim, Marcus and Luke.
Too much virtue signalling though

Some great content but...
